At Midcontinent Communications, our employees are committed and motivated, because each employee knows that he or she is an integral part of the Midcontinent team. However, that commitment and passion goes well beyond our promise of delivering excellent service.
We also believe in serving the greater good. We care for and contribute to the communities of which we are a part. Whether it’s donating to local charities or working together to rebuild a community, Midcontinent Communications® is always happy to give our time, our resources and the talents of our employees to help our neighbors.
In June of 2011, the communities of Minot and Burlington, North Dakota were severely affected by flooding from the Souris River. On June 22, 2011, sirens rang throughout the city of Minot at 12:57pm notifying residents to evacuate the center of the city. Midcontinent Communications worked around the clock to keep services on as long as possible in the evacuation zones during the flood. Once the flood waters receded, Midcontinent was one of the first utilities back in the area getting services turned back on.
