
Electronic Systems, Inc. provides a full range of electronics manufacturing services to some of the largest equipment manufacturers in the industrial, medical and telecommunications markets. They had approximately twelve individual phone lines and a block of DID (direct inward dialing) lines that only allowed three incoming DIDs at one time. “We were pushing our people to give out their direct lines so the receptionist was not bothered by as many calls,” said Computer Systems Analyst Supervisor Marty Westra, “but customers were complaining of busy signals all the time when dialing a direct line.”
Their Business Solutions rep reviewed their existing phone bill and found that, for essentially the same price, they could have a T1 line which would give them enough lines to cover all incoming, outgoing, and DID lines. This T1 would also cover future expansion for quite some time. The end result? The company was able to save money as their rep found a way to lower the long-distance rate they had with their previous provider. “We have been very pleased with the service provided by our Midcontinent rep and the engineers,” said Westra. “The implementation went flawlessly. They worked with Telephone Systems and Service to switch the lines over. TSS came in at 7:00 a.m. and everything was switched over by 7:15 a.m. There was top-notch communication between everyone involved and the continued service for both our T1 Voice and T1 Data has been excellent!”
