Case Study: Staging Impressions, Rapid City


Situation

 
Staging Impressions is a relatively new business to the Black Hills. Trisha Roe is the first accredited staging professional in the area and has started staging homes to show for realtors. She works with homes ranging from about $90,000 up to $1.5 million, using her own inventory of decorating items and furniture. Roe also includes de-cluttering services to help ready a home for sale. Her previous experience with television ad sales was not a positive one. She tried to use the competition to help her get started in television, but as she put it, "I'd rather work with my new Midcontinent Business Solutions rep because he had a great plan on where to place my ads. The competition didn't even offer to help me schedule my spot. They just dropped the ball completely. If I did that in my business, I wouldn't get another staging job again!" 
 


Solution


Roe signed up for Midcontinent’s New Business Advertising Plan and immediately the team went to work. Her rep determined what kind of programming would help her reach her target audience and the local Production Department wrote and produced a professional commercial designed exclusively for her specialty business. Roe was excited because she had never tried cable advertising. Her rep plugged her ad into several popular cable shows that turned out to be some of Roe’s favorite shows. "Now everyone will see my ad, especially my potential clients!” she said. “Midcontinent saved me from having to deal with other mediums for advertising.”
